| Can't move an inch But for the act to Leave fingerprints Freedom Farewell Look in the lens Answer the questions Are you a threat?
Nec plus ultra
After all the grabbing, it's time to bite the dust Leave behind the breaches of my trust Cleaning up the mess is up to us
Non plus ultra
Now that all hands are tied We're panic stricken Wealth out of sight Demolition, the damaged pride The Price of Ambition
Nec plus ultra
The current system leads to profit seeking deeds Leave behind the traces of our blood Now the course for change is up to us
Non plus ultra
Access is now denied We're panic stricken Wealth out of sight Intuition, forgotten guide The price of supression
Terre eos vi Augearis Perde eos vi Nobis imperium
Can't move an inch But for the act to Leave fingerprints Freedom Farewell Look in the lens Answer the questions Will you behave as required?
When we think the end is here With nearly all faith gone There is hope along the way And there a new age dawns
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe that they are free - Goethe -
Nobis victoria
Non plus ultra
When we think the end is here And our faith will disappear
Chasing our addictions we're stunting our growth Once we get rid of this ballast we'll be able to Restore the balance and distribute our wealth
---------------------------------------------------------------- Amazing song! I think it stands out from the others on the album with its feeling and structure, but maybe I feel this way cause this one was obviosuly the first full song I heard. Still I love it, the lyrics, the vocals; it's a good opening song imo.

| Ah RTS! I remember hearing the very first notes from the first teaser, and then it was the very first full song I have listened to DYU,and also my most played one to date It's surely an Epica classic,it sounds like a traditional song of their 'trademark' but more bombastic, powerfull, epic with the wonderful guitar solo<3 Simone's vocals are also very beautiful,Mark's grunts are excellent and I also love Arien's speaking part. The choir remins me a bit of the one used in 'The Last Crusade' but that might be just because they are both from the 'A New Age Dawns' series. I think it's one of my faves from DYU actually. | |

| I didn't like the song, but then... I'm playing it over and over now! When Simone starts to sing for the first time in this song....ah...my heart is ready to explode! *__* | |

| Mark comments on the lyrics' line about the redistribution of wealth (from official forum):
what I want to say is that the current system of greed is doomed to fail in the end.
Money, greed and jealousy caused something in people to take more and more. companies are often owned by the most cold recktless buisinessmen as they got to these positions by buying others out, using their elbows and other psychological tricks.
We do not end up with the best products but with those who are best advertised. With normal products it doesn't need that bad after all but the same happens with medicins. So our health, one of our greatest goods is a toy in the hands of buisinessmen.
In the end most of the money is owned by a little group of people, I think this is not how it should be.
We are naturally beings who do take care of each other, we have just 'forgotten' it in a way. The more we share, the more we give, the more we'll get in return as well | |

| I didn't really like this one at first, but now I think it's one of the most powerful on the album. The lyrics...the atmosphere...the contrasts...the epicness... I love it a lot especially when Simone says, "The End is here....and our faith will dissapear" The choirs are also awesome | |
