| Lyrics: So sweet caress, never long to last! You entered my soul and gave hope to my life.
So sweet caress, never hope to last! You left me behind all alone and aghast Captured inside such an austere Elysium
Imperfect feelings, futile grief Love a device against all solitude As it all went on, the love became A field in a dream that once had been real
So sweet caress, never long to last! Destroy this illusion we need a change of fate! Your frantic thoughts are only a condemned cry
Imperfect feelings, futile grief Love a device against all solitude As it all went on, the love became A field in a dream that once had been real
Primo somniare videbamur deinde veritas se praecipitavit
I secretly longed for something which had never existed
First I thought it was a dream but then it smashed into reality Beautiful on the outside, decayed deeply within
I secretly longed for something which had never existed
Devoted to a body without a soul
Numquam non tibi diffidam-------------------- I totally love this song. It's one of my favrites in fact.Although it's one of the less heavier songs from TPA this one has somehing mystical, dramatic, but still a bit diffrent than the other songs from TPA.It took my a while to understand what this song is aboutmbut still I haven't figured out complete,I know it's somehow about an impossible love or something like that.Simone has done a great job with the lyrics and I love how high her voice goes . Still, the part Devoted to a body without a soul It's a bit creepy in my opinion | |

| I always loved that part, Cris, but now I can see it being a bit creepy too. Anyway, it's definately an outstanding song, with a bit different feeling from the other TPA ones. Simone is singing wonderful and I love the choir parts as well. | |

| This is one of my favorite Epica songs (possibly my ultimate). The lyrics accomplish so much, so well, and the atmospheric sound is so epic and dramatic. Does anyone have the Latin translations, though? I have figured some of it, but not all.
Off-topic: Amalia1985: I love your avatar. I will be transferring soon to a four-year university where I can learn more about the Tudors, because I have an insatiable appetite for everything related to them. History is my passion, and I adore that show. Natalie Dormer and Simone Simons are my ultimate role models (talented, beautiful, smart, and independent modern women).

Primo somniare videbamur deinde veritas se praecipitavit First we seemed to dream Then the truth warned us

| I prefer the TCC version to the original studio version. The lyrics are amazing | |
