Why do we love Simone?

Well. I think none of you beats my Simobsession.
I've got bipolar disorder because I got to "deeply involved" with Epica. at it's worst I couldn't focus at school, and I couldn't stop reading about it, Simone was just my whole life. There was nothing else for me at that moment. I wanted nothing with my life except meeting her. It was really everything to me. I went to places where she had been, just because she had been there... I wanted to know everything about her, and I wanted to KNOW her... I wanted her to remember me... That's when it got scary. I started searching all over the web for her address, I found one first, and then another one. And I was stuck gazing at her possible houses in google earth for hours and hours. I know which address is the right one now, though. So well, it got out of hand.

The worst part of it was that I couldn't stand that anyone else listened to them. I wanted them all to myself. I didn't want anyone to know about Simone, and as she got more and more famous, I got more and more depressed. She WAS my personality.
I looked at their tourdates every day for updates, and when the Norway Rock gig was announced, with and 18+ age limit... Well, I couldn't listen to Epica without crying for a month.

Wow, I think this is the first time I tell anyone how bad it really was...
But well, yeah... I'm insane, I guess.

You are a bit of a crazy obsessed fan,to be honest
But I deeply understand that it was a trauma for you that you first thought you could not atned t the festival..but now your dream became reality!

I have to say I'm not obsessed with Simone.I'm not obsessed with Epica.I mean I said several times that I'm obsessed with them,until I discovered that obsessions start to eat most of my life.So nowadays I'm just being a big fan(well they're my fave band afterall ) but I try not to be obsessed.Brcause I really dont like the word 'obession' and the meaning of it.I'm just being a normal fan,if we can say so that admires Epica mostly for their music,and then the musicians behind it

Don't think I could help it much either... couldn't stop it. It was so addictive xD

Well...I know how you feel because I had the same period but with Mark...it was for very very short period of time beacuse I quickly realised that I have my own life and I want to live my own life,not someone else's life,I have so much plans for the future..(and of course some of them are to attend as much Epica concerts as I can

And not to be so off-topic I will say that I love Simone because of her voice and because of most of the things that I know for her

Is it still the same Am, or it got better? If we're so honest here, I must admit I've been through something similar. But it concerned Mark as well as for Francheska. I got pretty obsessed, seeing him as the man of my life! :O I've been going crazy really, but won't get into details. Ahh, it sounds so silly to me now! Cause it's fortunately over, and it just... slowly was becoming weaker and one day I realized it's so stupid. I still admire and love Mark of course, as a person, as a musician, and I still do think he's attractive, but it's all "healthy" now.

Yet, I am still obsessed with Simone too, though it's different. Yet probably not any less sick.
Don't think I should talk about it, maybe when it's over too. XD

It is better now. I have stopped having dreams where I am searching for her, and stuff like that. But I still get nervous every time I see someone wearing an Epica tee. ... But a lot better...

Good then. Hope it will only get better and better.

Same here... but I think it will... meeting them helps a lot! takes the pressure away from it.

Just met them! They are awesome! <3 Sitting on the train home at the moment, from the concert... It was unbelievable....

Well, I hang out with Mark for about an hour, maybe a bit more, he was also standing with me and Tora in the croud watching ReVamp Had a really great time! They are so nice <3

Another reason to love Simone is because of her relations with the fans..she is so nice

There are a few reasons why I love Simone.

- She has an amazing voice, excuse me, better than that.
- Her eyes are beautiful, and her face is like a porcelain doll, and beside that I love her smile.
- She has a great music + fashion taste.
- She is kind to her fans.
- I always laugh when I see her funny faces.
- I love the things she do with bands beside Epica.
- She is creative.
- Her hair color is amazing. I'm glad to be a natural redhead! (:

Her voice is so beautiful

Okay, I'll just say what I love about her!

- She has a very beautiful voice and I agree with Gosia that SiSi could achive a lot more with it within the course of time. Besides, I love the fact that she has integrated both a pop and an operatic technique.

- Her lyrics also are very beautiful and emotional.

- She is extremely beautiful! By adding 'extremely', I totally mean it. I may not be such a HUGE fan of Simone but I still find myself browsing the web and gazing at her beauty for hours and hours...

- As most of you have already stated here - she is very young, yet so mature! Simone is also pretty inteligent and she's totally aware of being a real woman who always stays true to herself.

- Makes funny faces.

- Keeps us fans well-informed about her life. (Normally, she would have told us to mind our own business, y'know. )

- She does her hair (which I prefered red but it's also lovely the way it currently is) AND her make-up on her own! Honestly, I don't think there's any other woman in metal that is able to do these things THAT well on her own.

- Oh, yeah, her hair... I think it deserves some more praising in a seperate line. I just looove her long strawberry ginger-blondish hair!

- Her dressing style is simply great! It perfectly matches with her stage appearances but at the same time, it's modern, fancy AND elegant.

- Speaking of Epica gigs, Simone's stage presence is totally cool. (Not to mention she's quite skillful at headbanging...)

- I really dig her jewellery, especially that ring!

- I love her nicknames "Smoontjes" and "SiSI"; they both sound soo cute and funny...


All right, I'll edit it if anything new comes to my mind.

First when I started listening Epica, I didn't really notice extremely much what she looked like. I just fell in love with the band and her voice. After that I realised that's she's also smoking hot, actually sex symbol. She seems to be always so nice to ppl, too.

Actually after realising that Simone is superhot I kinda understood that I have that thing for redheads lol.

Simone made me dream again.
She has a divine voice and she is very sweat.
