Kamelot is an American power metal band from Tampa, Florida. The band was formed by Thomas Youngblood and Richard Warner in 1988. Norwegian vocalist Roy Khan joined for the album Siége Perilous, and has shared song-writing duties with Youngblood since.
As of 2009, Kamelot has released eight studio albums, two live albums, one live DVD, six music videos and a reissue of Ghost Opera that includes an additional disc with ten live recordings and four bonus tracks. They are currently working on a new studio album, entitled Poetry for the Poisoned, scheduled for release at September 10. 2010.

And just to start off....What's your absolute favourite Kamelot song?
For me it's The Pendulous Fall...it just means soooo much to me. Along with A Sailorman's Hymn.. <3

I like Kamelot,they're one of my favorite power metal bands.

My favorite album of theirs is defintely The Black Halo,I think it's defintely a masterpiece My favorite song by them is 'Memento Mori',very complex and beautiful song

I can't wait for the release of their next album,I'm excited to hear more Simone guest appearances

And House on a hill of course, Roy and Simone together is orgasmic.

I am listening to it right now, got it yesterday.... It is sooo greeaaat! I love it Even I have seen Hunter's season and The great pandemonium live three times, It was still completely new and breathtaking! Ireally love "My train of thoughts" And "So long" <3

Omygoooosh it's great. So perfect!!!

Now all we have to do is wait for the physical album to come out... I can't wait to see if my Collector's Ed. copy is signed or not. I hope it is. It's not up for pre-orders any longer /fangirl
Oh and by the way...this new Kamelot is way darker than I had expected. They vowed it would set a new standard in this genre... I wonder if it will. So far it's a pretty mix of several sub-genres

I agree .It doesn't seem only power metal at all for me.I mean for most of the time power metal is very fast,but Kamlot pretty much got rid of the speed and focused more on the complex guitar sound.For me this albums sounds like a mix of power(still),prog,symphonic and even a bit of gothic metal.

Roy.Is.Sick I = worried! Oh my god, I hope he will be fine! It must be very serious, since he is not going to join the tour! :'(

Yes I just read that too.That's pretty awful for the fas that are attending to the US Tour,but I'm more worrried abour Roy.I hope it's not something serious,rather than just a cold.

Last night I watched on TV an interview with Simone from Kavarna Rock Fest and she said that may be Kamelot and she will do a video together.I think she talks about "House on a Hill". I love this song very much
