^ Sure I can! Canada Day was originally called Dominion Day,and the name was change to Canada Day in 1982 when Canada claimed indepence from the UK. The day celebrates the anniversary of the Consititution Act (or British North America Act) which took place on July 1st 1867, the Act united the three colonies in Canada all under one single flag, thus forming the single country - Canada.
