One of my favourite tracks at the moment.
Really heavy and powerful number, both Simone and Mark are at their top here.
I love the heavy drumming, it creates such a creepy atmosphere
I am hoping for more like this on DYU!

I'm hooked on Menace of Vanity lately. It's an incredible song, though it might sound simple, it's not. I just love the guitars and drums here! And the choir/Simone parts are simply amazing, love the way Simone sings it live! There obviously is power in that song!

Not particulary one of my favorites,but it's a stong point from TDC.it's so heavy and the choir parts are awesome,aswell as Marks's grunts.If I remember correctly it was written for thei ex-manager or something like that?

Well, I love that song... all on it is perfect: Simone, Mark, the choirs, the instrumental,... One of their true masterpieces

For the lyrics, I think it's Compulsive expressions, isn't it?

This song definitely hooks me on! I like its lyrics because they're so damn true... In many situations, there is no other way to understand a person if they don't speak up and say what's on their mind/what's wrong.

By the way, I remember that "Menace of Vanity" was the first song of TDC I listened to on Epica's MySpace page and I immediately liked it. I mean, how could you NOT enjoy something so harsh and epic? xD
