| For me the only problem in the earlier Epica works is the fact the guitar work isnt very inspiring, it used to pretty simple and anti-solo'ish haha Well now we have new guitarist who loves to play solos and hard guitar parts, how much shall it change the overall sound of Epica? My opinion is that it shall brings lots of fresh air, i cant wait to hear how much he adds to the music! | |

| I think Isaac is the best choice for Epica. He makes the sound a lot heavier, and more unique so that's better but I have nothing against Ad,he also did awesome stuff in his era | |

| Yeah Epica should sound heavier and now listening to Darzamat even NW sounds like pop so I hope it is heavy (16) | |

| Well NW are(actually were, they're a bit prog but mainly symhonic/melodic)power metal, and power metal is usually less heavier than many metal subgenres | |

| My opinion is that DPP is pure symphonic rock, except TPATP and MPG. Rest is too polished and poppy to be called metal
Nightwish is mainstream, just as WT.

| Of course Isaac makes a difference! Ad is a really great guitarist, but now with Isaac we can really expect more heavier and experimantal work. I don't miss that much solos in Epica songs, still would be cool to hear some more in new songs, but not too much. Generally I think Isaac was the perfect choice for Epica. | |

| Nightwish sounds like disco metal, seriously when I heard Wishmaster or I wish I had an angel I was like, wow wrong drumkits ftw?!
Anyway, I think Isaac will make Epica more metal, Ad was just too brave, nothing against him. He is a great guitar player aswell. He probably feels too insecure to play solo's live.

| i think that we should await to listen DYU to compare Isaac and Aa in the guitar style, but I think that Isaac looks more metalhead than Ad

| actually, i don't like what he gave to this band. epica was special once. now it's just another heavy metal band. clasical riffs, nothing specal solos.. i don't even enjoy playing new songs on guitar.they are too common i don't know. he's too ordinary.. | |

| What makes you think that he is ordinary?I mean, yes many guitarists play solos. So that makes him ordinary?I'm just asking you to explain,I'm not attacking your opinion or anything like that,I'm just asking you to state more reasons. | |

| i play a lot of songs of epicaon my guitar. when i play a song from phantom agony or consign to oblivion, , those riffs, i feel different when playing them. i can easily say that "yeah this is epica". but when i play a song from new album, i feel like playing another ordinary death metal song.. so i listen guitar parts so uch, that, when i listen to them, i feel the same thing. i am like listening just another death metal band.. same thing also i can say about drums... | |

| It's okay, now I understand what you mean. And I respect your opinion But still, for me,I think Epica are growing with each album.Yes,it becomes more and more heavier but they're evolving without losing their main essence. That's what I think. | |

| He answered me once but on facebook(PM) My question was similar to yours - I asked if they are going to play in Bulgaria again and he said that some day they will be back...but some day is not very optimistic But it's cool that he keeps contact with the fans | |
