I really like that recorording of Sancta Terra because I always enjoy high quality filmed videos And you can really see thet her voice improved since last year,now she sings way more powerful

Which is the best way for one band to subsists from it's music now when the sales of albums increasingly decrease?

Simone: Well, because of this reason we're touring a lot and Nuclear Blast help us with doing a great promo. But the truth it's in plying as more as you can and more pepple to know about our music. I can honestly say that we are on of the most active bands in these days.

If now I ask you which is the thing of Epica which makes you most proud, what will you say?

Simone:It's difficult to answer because there are many things.I would say that every album of Epica is worthy achievemenт. We travel around the world and two years ago we made amazing show in Hungary with symphonic orchestra, classical songs and I also sang some own compositions which have nothing to do with Epica - songs of my past when I was studing classical singing.
I love the tours and meetings with fans, and the least favourite things it's the endless waiting at the airports. Sometimes you have to travel a lot of hours and you can't even sleep. This is the only
disadvantage of the profession musician.We're very lucky that the music is our profession and we can subsist from it.

What is your own price that you paid to be a professional musician?

Simone: I dropped out of the high school to be in a rock band.Then I didn't realize if this is a good decision because I was young, I was 17 but I've always been very impulsive and I always feel if
something is good so I can say I have a good sixth sense.I would have to choose between learning in school or singing in a band.I've always loved rock music so then I told let's try, I have a feeling that everything's gonna be alright so I was right.

Do you think that your guest appearances in Kamelot's albums have helped to Epica to became more popular?

Simone: I'm sure that these songs have helped us but in this time I'm also sure that more Epica fans paid more attention to the music of Kamelot. The musicians of this band are like second family to me. I have been touring with them and everything is great. They invited me to sing two songs in their new album and I think that soon we're gonna shot a video of one of it. I also think the work with Kamelot is one of the most succesfull things in my life till now. Our first song was "The Haunting" which We recorded some years ago and the video of this song was my first professional video. The Haunting became a great hit and I always sing it with them when we have a shows together at festivals..

All albums of Epica are produced by Sasha Pitt. Is it yours the decision to work with him or your label determines that?

Simone: Sasha is a big name in this business. We started work with him on our first album because our label said that it's good to work with him. He had a big success with the albums of Kamelot, Rhapsody.

You'are very attractive young lady.Do your fans often offer you to marry them?

Simone: Yes, very often but I don't think they really think that. Rather it's said because of a moment of emotion.More unusual is when one man was holding a title: "Rape me" Then I thought that it does not a sense. What to say to a person who voluntary want to be rape. There are a couple of funny offers but "marry me" and "rape me" are the funniest.

Is it true that the album of Nightwish "Oceanborn" has made you to take the decision to become a professional singer?

Siomone:I was already singing before to listen to this album. I was 14 and I had jazz and pop singing lessond and I was singing at the school musical. I started to listen to rock music when I was 16. That was about nine years ago when I liked bands like Nightwish,Silverchair, Radiohead. Little by little I started to listen to hevier music. My taste is created of the base of the music which my parents like. Mainly bands that we can hear on a radio.I was impressed by Tarja Turunen's voice with the combination of Nightwish hard music and thought this was briliant.Later I found bands like The Gathering, After Forever, Tristania, Lacuna Coil. Today this bands are my personal friends which is amazing.

Do you remember your first appearance on a big stage and what was the emotion for you?

Simone:I remember how I was watching photos after the concert and I was looking like a tree. I was very shy and vulnerable, I didn't know what to do with my body. Either you have these skills at birth or you don't have them. No I'm very calm but then I was a shy child who didn't know what to do.
